Exhibition material for Bonniers Konsthalls coming exhibition ”Against time”. Bonniers Konsthall in the center of Stockholm is a new venue for Swedish and international contemporary art. Illustrations for +rosebud magazine, an annual international editorial project by Austrian Ralf Herms. Each issue has a specific theme and for the 6th issue the theme was "Ideal" (isbn 3899551621). The 6-page spread by Mikael Kangas explores the ideals and creatures in the world of fairytales. Master of fine arts Final exhibition at Konstfack.
A Pattern for the machine and a pattern for the mind - by getting hold of cutting patterns from the fashion designers Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Martin Margiela, Issey Miyake and Vivienne Westwood, fashion illustrations where screen-printed on top of these. By doing this the patterns where transformed from being simply mechanical patterns to inspirational mind-map artworks in the size 640 x 900 mm. View work at point D4 above (flash required).
